TFS HQ team member Bianca made this incredible jumpsuit recently, using our Sparrow Shirt and Cloud Pant patterns; perfect for the chilly winter days ahead! Read on for photos and project details.
"I have always thought that adding a shirt pattern to the top of the cloud pants would make an awesome and cozy jumpsuit. I tossed up whether I should use the Bloom or the Sparrow shirt pattern and eventually settled on the Sparrow for the shape of the collar."
Project Notes
Bianca used our Make by TFS Sparrow Shirt (View B) and Cloud Sweatpants (View B) joined together to create a jumpsuit! She used the size 4 for both patterns, with 3.5m of City Lights Merino Jacquard, a bunch of buttons, threads and some elastic for the waist. Bianca is an experienced sewist, and was able to customise the Sparrow and Cloud patterns for a fitted jumpsuit. To create the look, she tapered the Sparrow sleeve a little and shortened the shirt to meet the waistband of the Cloud pants. She also added extra pockets, pocket flaps, cuffs, a back yoke, knee patches, and drawstring channels to the bottom of the legs. All up, the customisations and pattern adjustments took about 5 days. Both of these patterns are ones Bianca has have made before (her fifth pair of Cloud Pants!), so it all went together without a hitch. She mentioned she also always uses the sew-along guides available on our blog, just to ensure she is not missing any steps. Bianca said she loves the finished jumpsuit, and commented that the fabric is cosy and drapes well, with a very soft hand feel and no itchiness!

"I can see myself wearing this to work a lot throughout the winter, as well as around the house on a lazy Sunday as it is just so comfy! I also plan of taking it to Ruapehu for my next ski trip - maybe even to wear under my ski gear as a base layer! This jumpsuit is so versatile, I think it will become a high rotation item!"
